 Skin:

The outer skin is briefly ‘frozen’, activating increased production of collagen in deeper layers of the skin (similar to laser treatments of the face, where very high temperatures are used). The skin regains elasticity and becomes smoother and even-toned, significantly improving conditions such as cellulite and skin aging.

Skin vessels and capillaries undergo severe vasoconstriction (to keep the core temperature from dropping), followed by vasodilation after the procedure. Toxins and other stored deposits are flushed out of the layers of the skin and blood perfusion is improved after several treatments.

The anti-inflammatory properties of cryotherapy are also used to treat chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis and dermatitis.

Since Whole Body Cryotherapy’s main site of contact is on the body’s outer skin layers, the treatment benefits many skin conditions. During a treatment the outer skin layers are super-chilled to the point of freezing. This causes a rebound increase in blood supply to the skin and a strong acceleration to the normal regrowth cycles.
The skin disorders best treated by Whole Body Cryotherapy include cellulite, psoriasis and dermatitis.

SKIN CARE

If you have scars, pimples or other age related skin formations or spots, then you should consider undergoing Whole Body Cryotherapy. Cryotherapy can remove scars and skin imperfections over time helping your body replace damaged cells and leaving your skin looking fresh and new again.

For beautiful skin, eat a healthy diet! Experienced dermatologists say that while it’s a myth that everyone automatically gets pimples from eating certain foods, individual people can break out when they eat specific foods. Similarly, certain foods are good for your skin, as your body needs the proper vitamins and nutrients to heal and renew your skin. Eating a balanced diet is the best way to make sure your skin has the nutrients it needs. This is why we at Cryosauna Minneapolis also offers nutritian coaching and consultations!

For healthy skin, get more vitamin D. This vitamin acts like a hormone within our bodies and is essential to a very large number of body functions, including those that regulate the immune system and heal pimples. Many people don’t get enough vitamin D in their diets, so getting outside and getting sunlight so the body can produce its own vitamin D is an easy and important way to get more. You can also eat salmon, shrimp, sardines, cod, eggs or shiitake mushrooms for more vitamin D.

In order to have healthy, clean skin, you must stay hydrated. That means drinking around 8 cups of water every day. If you don’t drink enough water, your face will become oily which will lead to pimples, acne, and other unpleasant things. Not only will you look better by staying hydrated, but you’ll feel better too!

No matter what skin care regiment you begin, you must make sure that you are gentle with your skin. If you pick at your pimples or buy into crazy skin remedies, you can permanently damage your skin, effectively causing more damage to your skin, in the end.
